In our second report to the Welsh Language Commissioner since the new standards came into effect, we outline how we have continued to comply with the standards and to facilitate the use of Welsh.
The report explains that between April 2025 and March 2026 most of our work to facilitate the use of Welsh and comply with the standards focused on areas including our consultations, the provision of information on our website in Welsh and improving our Welsh registration renewal form.
We continue to recognise the importance and historical significance of the Welsh language for people in Wales. We are committed to treating the Welsh language no less favorably than the English language, as part of our broader commitment to promoting equity, valuing diversity, embracing inclusion and creating belonging.
The General Osteopathic Council is under legal duty to comply with the Welsh Language Standards (No.8) Regulations. Find out more about the Welsh Language Standards.

Yn ein hail adroddiad i Gomisiynydd y Gymraeg ers i’r safonau newydd ddod i rym, rydym yn amlinellu sut rydym wedi parhau i gydymffurfio â’r safonau a hwyluso’r defnydd o’r Gymraeg.
Mae’r adroddiad yn egluro bod y rhan fwyaf o’n gwaith rhwng mis Ebrill 2025 a mis Mawrth 2026 i hwyluso’r defnydd o’r Gymraeg a chydymffurfio â’r safonau wedi canolbwyntio ar feysydd gan gynnwys ein hymgynghoriadau, darparu gwybodaeth yn Gymraeg ar ein gwefan, a gwella ein ffurflen adnewyddu cofrestriad Gymraeg.
Rydym yn parhau i gydnabod pwysigrwydd ac arwyddocâd hanesyddol yr iaith Gymraeg i bobl yng Nghymru. Rydym wedi ymrwymo i beidio â thrin y Gymraeg yn llai ffafriol na’r Saesneg, fel rhan o’n hymrwymiad ehangach i hyrwyddo tegwch, gwerthfawrogi amrywiaeth, cofleidio cynhwysiant a chreu ymdeimlad o berthyn.
Mae gan y Cyngor Osteopathig Cyffredinol ddyletswydd gyfreithiol i gydymffurfio â Rheoliadau Safonau’r Gymraeg (Rhif 8). Darganfyddwch fwy am Safonau’r Gymraeg.
