Under the Freedom of Information Act, certain kinds of information are exempt from the provisions of the Act, which means they do not have to be disclosed or provided. As required by the Act, the GOsC has a publication scheme, which has been approved by the Information Commissioner. The Information Commissioner’s Office is responsible for the Freedom of Information Act and its operation.
The purpose of the publication scheme is to make it easier for you to obtain information by letting you know what information is readily available from us. By ‘readily available’ we mean information that is on our website, or that can be obtained from us by letter, fax or e-mail.
