New Committee members appointed
The General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) announces the appointment of four osteopath and four non-osteopath (lay) members to two of its committees.
We are pleased to announce that the following individuals have been appointed to our committees from 1 April 2025:
Investigating Committee
The Investigating Committee carries out the initial investigation of a concern raised against an osteopath when there is an allegation of serious unacceptable conduct, professional incompetence or matters relating to ill health.
Policy and Education Committee
- Patrick Gauthier (osteopath)
- Andrew MacMillan (osteopath)
- Kate Kettle (lay)
- Jayne Walters (lay)
Our Policy and Education Committee contributes to the development of Council on all matters of policy. The Committee will also undertake the statutory functions that are reserved to the Education Committee as referred to in the Osteopaths Act.
Committee members are appointed by the Privy Council, following an open recruitment process undertaken by the GOsC and scrutinised by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.
