Guidance on Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging shared

Equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging (EDIB) are key elements underpinning the provision of fair, inclusive, welcoming, holistic and equitable healthcare.

Our new guidance, which provides links to a wide range of useful resources, has been designed to help osteopaths meet the specific and diverse needs of a patient. Topics include communication, speaking up, and professionalism, to support osteopaths to better meet the needs of their patients.

Resources to support continuing professional development are also included as part of this guidance. Continuing learning about EDIB can support more holistic and inclusive osteopathic practice as well as better communication with patients, and is therefore encouraged as part of osteopaths’ CPD activities.
