GOsC recruiting Committee members
We are recruiting members for three of our committees to fill one lay and three osteopath vacancies.
The GOsC has today advertised vacant positions on its Audit, Investigating and Osteopathic Practice Committees.
A lay member is required for the Audit Committee, which provides assurance that the necessary internal and external systems and processes are in place for identifying, managing and mitigating risks. The committee makes recommendations to Council and the executive for any actions as appropriate.
The Investigating Committee has two vacancies for osteopath members. It considers complaints received by the GOsC, and decides whether to refer cases for adjudication. It also considers whether to impose interim suspension orders in order to protect members of the public.
The Osteopathic Practice Committee is co-opting an osteopath member. The Committee contributes to the development of: standards of osteopathic practice; policies aimed at ensuring registrants remain fit to practise (including CPD and revalidation); and policies relating to fitness to practise procedures.
There is further information about the positions and how to apply on this website at www.osteopathy.org.uk/about-us/the-organisation/recruitment/
The closing date for all positions is noon on 1 November 2013.
