Stacey Towle

What do you do in your role?

I am part of a team which is responsible for delivering GOsC messages to osteopaths and other key audiences using a variety of channels. I also work to increase engagement with and across the profession on GOsC publications and guidance to support osteopaths in maintaining high standards in osteopathic practice, amongst many other things.

What opportunities does your role provide?

I really enjoy opportunities to listen and learn from osteopaths at face to face events, especially as it gives me the chance to hear various ways the GOsC can support them within our remit as the regulator. I like bringing back insight to the team so we can collaboratively look at solutions.

Typical work might include, planning social media based on core projects we are working on, engaging with osteopaths at conferences and events, sharing our latest consultations with the profession, gathering insight and research with osteopaths as well as planning our attendance at Pride in London, and drafting blogs and news stories. My role is very varied which is great.

What is it like working for GOSC?

I really like the fact that GOsC prides itself on EDIB with a strong emphasis on making all staff feel included, no matter what. I am proud to say that I work for a high performing regulator, with high output and performance, our 15 year record of meeting the PSA’s standards of good regulation demonstrates this. I am sure people would be surprised to know there are only 26 of us across the whole organisation!

What would it surprise people to know about you?

I have a British Weightlifting qualification which means I can coach Olympic weightlifting. I am very passionate about encouraging more females to be confident in taking up strength training within a very male dominated space. I also love gardening and attempt to grow my own vegetables most years.
