Consultations and events

We are committed to working with osteopaths, patients, other healthcare professionals and all those with an interest in osteopathic care and the work of the GOsC. Through consultations, we invite your views when we are planning new areas of work or changing the way we do things. We always welcome suggestions for improving the way we do things and we tell you below about how you can send us feedback.

  • Draft CPD Guidance and Draft Peer Discussion Review template

We are looking for feedback on proposed changes to our Draft Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Guidance and Draft Peer Discussion Review (PDR) template.

Many osteopaths who completed our CPD survey 2024 highlighted challenges they faced with the CPD scheme. Listening to this feedback, we have attempted to make this much easier to engage with. We are now consulting on these changes and seeking feedback which will help to inform the final versions.

How to respond

The deadline for responses is Monday 3 March 2025

Share your views at our online sessions
We are holding two interactive online sessions to discuss and share the proposed changes to the Draft CPD Guidance and Draft PDR template.

Join Steven Bettles (Head of Policy and Education) and Stacey Clift (Senior Research and Policy Officer) to discuss the proposed changes and have the chance to provide us with your feedback on the Draft CPD Guidance and Draft PDR template which can count towards your CPD, including the pre-reading that will be required.

You are welcome to email questions in advance and it will also be possible to ask questions on the day. Find out more and sign up using the links below:

Feedback

From all sections of the website you can email us to let us know what you think about the information there; you can also use the form on our Contact us page to ask us questions, let us know if you haven't found the information you want or to let us know if you have found anything on this website particularly helpful.

Involving patients in our work

We are looking for osteopathic patients to be actively involved in the work we do so we can listen, learn and better understand the patient perspective. If you are interested and willing to use your unique experience to help make a difference to future osteopathic care, we would love to hear from you. Find out more
