Tim Walker announces his intention to step down
Tim Walker, Chief Executive and Registrar of the GOsC since November 2010, has informed Council that he plans to step down from the role at the end of February next year.
Alison J White, Chair of Council, said: “Tim has made a great contribution to the work of the GOsC, as well as improving relationships between the GOsC and the profession. In particular, he has worked to support a wide range of initiatives for the development of the osteopathic profession both in the UK and abroad.”
Tim will be ensuring that he oversees the launch of the GOsC’s new CPD scheme, which is due to start from 1 October this year. Tim has helped steer the development of this innovative scheme and will be staying on to ensure a smooth launch and a seamless transition to a new Chief Executive and Registrar.
A recruitment process for Tim’s successor will commence later in the summer.
