Our latest Council Associate welcomed
GOsC welcomes Gabrielle Anderson to our Council Associates programme following successful recruitment campaign.
The Council Associates programme aims to identify and develop future governance leaders within the profession who have the potential to develop their skills and knowledge to undertake future non-executive positions, either at the GOsC or elsewhere.

Gabrielle graduated from Plymouth Marjon University in 2023. She is currently working as a clinical practitioner at Marjon where she supports the academic and clinical delivery of the osteopathy program. At the same time, Gabrielle is completing a PGCert Teaching in Higher Education. She is also working as an associate osteopath in Exeter, Devon.
Gabrielle (pictured) said about her appointment: I’m delighted to be starting my role as Council Associate. It is a fantastic opportunity and a privilege to learn more about the intricate workings of GOsC. The experience will provide me with invaluable insights which I can utilise to enhance my work and enrich my teaching endeavours.’
As a Council Associate starting in April 2024, Gabrielle will attend GOsC Council four times a year and will be given the opportunity to contribute to meetings and, as a result, towards the strategic direction of the organisation.
Gabrielle will be our fourth Council Associate and will be taking over from Harriet Lambert, whose term came to a close at the end of March 2024.
