Joint report on whistleblowing disclosures published
The Whistleblowing disclosures report 2018 represents the first time the healthcare professional regulators have chosen to publish a joint report and shows how we handled whistleblowing disclosures during the reporting period 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018.
The joint report highlights our coordinated effort to work together in handling serious whistleblowing issues raised to us.
Our aim in this is to be transparent about how we handle whistleblowing disclosures, to raise confidence among whistleblowers that their disclosures are taken seriously and to improve collaboration across the health sector.
Together with the General Pharmaceutical Council, General Optical Council, General Medical Council, General Dental Council, General Chiropractic Council, Health and Care Professions Council, and Nursing and Midwifery Council, we have produced this report showing how we handled these disclosures and what action we took.
