GOsC welcomes publication of consultation on Anaesthesia Associates and Physician Associates Order
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has today published its Professional Regulation Consultation Response alongside a consultation on the Anaesthesia Associates and Physician Associates (AAPA) Order.
The AAPA Order marks an important milestone towards reforming the legislation of healthcare regulators. This is because the Order, which would bring Anaesthesia Associates and Physician Associates under the regulation of the General Medical Council, would be used as the template for reforming the legislation of the remaining healthcare regulators.
The GOsC welcomes publication of these documents and we look forward to responding to the DHSC consultation before the submission deadline, 11:45pm on 16 May 2023.
