GOsC recruiting new Chair of Investigating Committee

We are seeking to recruit a new lay Chair for our Investigating Committee to take office from 3 October 2011. The Chair will work with members of the Investigating Committee to consider whether complaints made against osteopaths disclose a case to answer and also whether interim suspension orders are needed for public protection.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following competences:

• Leadership Understanding of the role of the GOsC as a regulator
• Understanding of relevant legislation
• Experience of adjudication
• Assimilation and impartial analysis of complex facts
• Team working Accountability
