Annual Report and Accounts for 2019-20 published
We have published our latest Annual Report and Accounts, providing an overview of our work and the financial report for 2019-20
The Annual Report covers the year to 31 March 2020, which saw considerable change taking place within osteopathy, and describes GOsC’s achievements in the first year of our 2019-2024 Strategic Plan.
In his Chief Executive and Registrar’s introduction, Matthew Redford reflected on the many positive developments over the past year, including the updated Osteopathic Practice Standards coming into effect, and recent projects in partnership with other healthcare regulators and stakeholders that aim to benefit patients and the profession.
In the Chair’s statement, newly appointed Council Chair Dr Bill Gunnyeon thanked his predecessor, Alison White, and other departing Council members, for their work during the year, and addressed the challenges faced by the organisation and profession as a result of the pandemic: ‘After a year of much change and with challenges ahead, I’m confident the GOsC will continue to adapt and develop, working in partnership with osteopaths to ensure the protection of patients and the public.’
