General Osteopathic Council successfully prosecutes Habib Chharawala for unlawfully describing himself as an osteopath

The General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), the UK regulator of osteopaths, has brought a successful prosecution against Habib Chharawala, of Lambeth, London, for unlawfully describing himself as an osteopath after he had previously been removed from the GOsC’s Register of osteopaths.
New independent survey on osteopathy regulation to be launched

Standard Case Directions Practice Note for the progression of cases published

The General Osteopathic Council has published a practice note with Standard Case Directions that will be applied to all cases that progress to a final hearing before a Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) following a referral by the Investigating Committee (IC).
General Osteopathic Council suspends Dinash Gaur from its Register of osteopaths

The GOsC’s Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) found Mr Dinash Gaur guilty of unacceptable professional conduct on 6 November 2019, and decided that the appropriate sanction would be to suspend him from the Register of osteopaths for a period of 12 months.
General Osteopathic Council suspends Tari MacDonald from its Register of osteopaths

The GOsC’s Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) found Mr Tari MacDonald, of East Grinstead, West Sussex, guilty of unacceptable professional conduct and decided that the appropriate sanction would be to suspend him from the Register of osteopaths for a period of 18 months.

Dr Bill Gunnyeon CBE, current Chair of the GOsC’s Policy Advisory Committee, has been appointed as the General Osteopathic Council’s next Chair of Council. He will take over from current Chair, Alison J White, on 1 April 2020.
