GOsC announces appointment of new Chair of Investigating Committee
The General Osteopathic Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr James Kellock as Chair of its Investigating Committee.
James is a barrister, whose previous experience includes working at the Serious Fraud Office and the Treasury Solicitor. He is also Chair of the Investigation Committee of the General Optical Council and sits on the fitness to practise committees of a number of other regulatory bodies, including the General Dental Council and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
The Investigating Committee is one of the GOsC’s statutory committees. It carries out the initial investigation of a complaint against an osteopath when there is an allegation of serious unacceptable conduct, professional incompetence or matters relating to ill health.
