Share your views on our Strategic Plan towards 2030
11 September 2023
We are seeking views on our draft Strategic Plan which will take us from 1 April 2024 towards 2030.
Our Strategic Plan sets out the General Osteopathic Council’s (GOsC’s) priorities for 2024-2030 and has three main purposes, the Plan:
- describes what Council wishes the organisation to achieve.
- provides a mandate for the organisation’s work programme, led by the Chief Executive and Registrar, and delivered by GOsC’s staff.
- provides a framework for monitoring of the organisation’s performance by Council.
We are seeking feedback from osteopaths, patients and key partner organisations across the profession, as well as others, to help inform our next Strategic Plan.
Chair of Council, Dr Bill Gunnyeon, said: ‘The launch of the consultation on the draft new GOsC Strategy is an important milestone for Council. We have worked collectively to develop what we believe is a clear vision and direction for the GOsC towards 2030; but it is really important that we hear the views of osteopaths, patients and our key stakeholders before we finalise and launch our strategy in early 2024.
‘I very much hope you will take the time to read and reflect on the draft and let us have your views before the end of our consultation, which will be open for 12 weeks.’
The deadline for responses to the consultation is Monday 4 December 2023.
Please send us your views using this online form or if you would prefer, you can email your response to: info@osteopathy.org.uk.
