GOsC freezes registration fees for 2023/24

The annual registration fee is considered each year by the GOsC’s Council. At its meeting in November 2022, Council members recognised the after effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of the cost of living crisis on osteopaths, and agreed to hold registration fees at their current level for the next financial year.

GOsC Chief Executive and Registrar, Matthew Redford, said:

‘I am pleased with Council's decision to continue the freeze on registration fees for the 9th successive year. We are acutely aware of the pressures facing the osteopathic profession and we recognise that we must continue supporting osteopaths to deliver high quality care.

‘Continuing to maintain fees at their existing level for the past eight years means that we have, in real terms, decreased registration fees for osteopaths compared to inflation, and GOsC has absorbed a loss of income of around £350,000. We hope this can provide some reassurance to the profession as we move through these financially trying times.'

Council will continue to carefully monitor the impact of holding registration fees at their current level balanced against the need to ensure the GOsC has the income required to deliver on its statutory duties.
