COVID-19: Registration fees

Last updated on 13 October 2020

If as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, you have not been in clinical contact with patients, you might be looking to reduce your expenditure and seeking financial support.

The Institute of Osteopathy (the professional body for osteopaths) provides advice on the type of financial support available to osteopaths. Additionally, for those who are self-employed, the Government website contains useful information.

In terms of your registration, if you have been out of clinical contact with patients for three months or more continuously, you might qualify for a reduced registration fee. See non-practising below.

Non-practising

An option for osteopaths to reduce their registration fee during this time and if this suits their circumstances, is to apply for ‘non-practising’ status (ie not seeing or speaking to patients for three continuous months within their registration year). There is more information on the o zone.
