Publications

The General Osteopathic Council produces a range of publications, which are available on this website. GOsC staff are predominantly working remotely, so please note that there are likely to be delays in processing requests during this time. For more information, please email: info@osteopathy.org.uk.

Osteopath and patients looking at GOsC publications

What do we publish?

Our publications include the Osteopathic Practice Standards (OPS), public information leaflets, annual reports, information about the standards of practice osteopaths must work to and Fitness to Practise annual reports.

You can also search an archive of back issues of The Osteopath magazine (the final issue was published in February 2021).

You can find all these on this website, by using the navigation links on the left of this page.

FOI Publication Scheme

There is also information about the Publication Scheme we are required to have by the government under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000. The scheme contains a guide to information which tells you what information we publish and where you can find it.

Information in other formats

We are committed to ensuring the accessibility of all the information we produce.

Paper copies

If you would like a paper copy of a website page or of a document that is downloadable from this website, we will supply single copies free of charge.

Translations and large print

We will accommodate requests for translations into other languages and for documents in other formats, such as large print, wherever possible.

Transcripts of hearings

While transcripts of fitness to practise hearings are free to the parties to the hearings, we do charge for copies requested by anyone else. Depending on the redactions and editing that may be required, costs can vary, but start from £2.00 per page and include postage and packing for hard copies. We can give quotations on request and will need payment in advance.
