Vacancies for education visitors/registration assessors

12 August 2016

We are now recruiting for six osteopaths to take on the dual roles of education visitor and registration assessor.

Do you have a broad range of experience in osteopathy, including in undergraduate education? Are you a strong communicator and team player? If so, you could play a vital role maintaining standards in osteopathic education and the profession.

Working jointly for the GOsC and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), you will:

  • undertake GOsC reviews at osteopathic education providers, to ensure that their courses meet the Osteopathic Practice Standards and put patient safety, public protection and excellence at the heart of all activities
  • assess applicants to the Register who practise outside the UK, and osteopaths who have been away from the Register or non-practising for some time.

You can find more information about these essential roles (including details of remuneration and expenses), plus details of how to apply, on the Appointment of reviewers page of the QAA website.

The closing date for applications is Friday 23 September.

Interviews will take place in November, and the QAA will run a two-day training course in March 2017.
