Matthew Redford appointed as Acting GOsC Chief Executive and Registrar

23 September 2019

The General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) has announced today that Matthew Redford, GOsC's Director of Registration and Resources, has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive.

Matthew has been with the GOsC since October 2000 and brings considerable organisational knowledge to his new role. His appointment is effective from today and the GOsC will announce its plans to make a permanent appointment in due course. Leonie Milliner, former GOsC Chief Executive and Registrar, has stood down with immediate effect in order to pursue other interests.

Chair of Council, Alison White, said: 'I am pleased to announce that Matthew will be our Acting Chief Executive and Registrar, and I would like to acknowledge Leonie's contribution during her time with us. We wish her well for the future and the exciting times ahead.'

Matthew Redford said: 'I am committed to continuing to put patient and public protection at the heart of what we do at the GOsC. I look forward to working with staff and all our stakeholders over the coming months to help continue the development of the osteopathic profession.'
