CPD consultation report published

19 October 2015

The report on the findings of the consultation on a new CPD scheme for osteopaths has been published.

The 16-week consultation took place earlier this year and feedback was received from a wide range of stakeholders, including osteopaths, patients and the public, health regulators, osteopathic education providers and osteopathic professional bodies. This meets the GOsC aim of drawing on the views of all sectors in shaping a system that has the support of the profession and the confidence of the public.

The GOsC Council will consider the report, produced by an independent agency, at its November meeting and agree the next steps.

The prevalent themes, concerns and queries highlighted in this report will shape the further development of the scheme and inform the continuing dialogue of the GOsC with key stakeholders including osteopaths and representatives of the osteopathic professional organisations and regional osteopathic groups.
