Annual Report and Accounts for 2020-21 published

6 October 2021

We have published our latest Annual Report and Accounts, providing an overview of our work and the financial report for 2020-21

The Annual Report covers the year to 31 March 2021, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and has now been laid before both Houses of Parliament.

In his Chief Executive and Registrar’s introduction, Matthew Redford acknowledged the difficulties faced by the profession during this period, and the tremendous effort osteopaths made to ensure that patients continued to be treated: ‘You rose to the challenge and ensured that patients continued to receive high quality treatment. For that, I thank you’.

In his statement, Council Chair Dr Bill Gunnyeon reflected on the challenges the organisation faced in adapting to carry out key functions: ‘Like every crisis there are also many things that we have learned that can help us shape the future approach to work and to life in ways that we could not have imagined prior to the pandemic, and we must ensure that as life returns to something closer to normal, we continue to take advantage of those lessons learned’.
