Reduced fee consultation

The aim of this consultation is to ascertain whether the rules should be amended to close an anomaly which means that an osteopath, who is out of clinical contact with patients for three months or more, might claim a reduced fee for the whole of their registration year, despite returning to practise for up to nine months in that same period. Council’s view is that this is unfair to those who are in practice all year and pay a higher fee as a result.
