Chris Stockport

Chris is a General Practitioner by training, and has worked in North Wales since 1996.

During this time, Chris has driven a number of pioneering initiatives to widen the range and scope of multidisciplinary healthcare within the NHS, including deploying osteopathy clinics within his GP practice in the early 2000’s.

Whilst on this journey, Chris has been a GP Trainer and Programme Director for GP Training in Wales, an Honorary Research Fellow with Bangor University, and has acted as an expert in primary care workforce diversification, supporting the World Health Organisation.

In recent years, Chris has held Executive Director roles within the NHS in Wales, further supporting at Board level the importance of multidisciplinary professional working and holistic approaches to NHS care delivery. Chris is passionate about primary and community care innovation and believes that the needs of patients should be the first consideration when configuring and developing services.

Outside of work, Chris is a RNLI Governor and active local volunteer.
