Background

We are seeking a team of experts to write the assessment criteria for our draft scheme of revalidation for osteopaths, to be piloted in 2011. The revalidation scheme will enable osteopaths to demonstrate that they are up-to-date and fit to practise.

Our requirements

We are looking for people with experience in developing assessment schemes for healthcare courses, for other healthcare regulators or for professional bodies, as well as those with experience of developing assessment schemes in osteopathic education. A team of up to six, working under the direction of a team leader, will be responsible for drafting the assessment criteria. Terms and conditions

Remuneration will be on a daily basis of £350, for agreed pieces of work. We expect that a minimum time commitment of approximately four days per month will be required from April to around July 2010 for the first phase of work. This work will mainly be undertaken remotely. An enhanced rate will be paid to the team leader.
