Monitoring standards of education

As part of its ongoing monitoring of standards of education, the GOsC conducts a major review of each course on a regular basis, usually every three to five years. The review is undertaken by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) on behalf of the GOsC. The QAA reports currently published can be downloaded from the table below.

As a result of the course review, the GOsC makes recommendations to The Privy Council, which formally approves the accreditation of courses. If there are conditions attached to the approval, these conditions are set out in the Privy Council Approval Order, copies of which are also included in the table below.

When the course provider has fulfilled the conditions, this is noted in the table.
