The Research Strategy Working Group advises Council on the oversight of the research needs of the Revalidation work programme.
It also ensures that the GOsC has an effective, high quality research programme to support the development of future strategy for patient protection and the regulation and development of the osteopathic profession.
The group is chaired by the Chair of the Council, and has 6 members, 3 osteopath and 3 lay. There is a strong link to the Council and the Education Committee.
Research overseen by this group includes the OPEn project on patients' expectations and experience of osteopathic treatment and studies looking at adverse events. For further information about these and other GOsC research projects visit the Research pages in the Resources section.
For information about other research connected with the revalidation scheme visit the section on revalidation research.
