The GOsC is committed to the promotion of osteopathy, through the establishment of an evidence base.

To this end, the GOsC has helped to establish and part fund the National Council for Osteopathic Research (NCOR). This is an independent body, whose remit is to encourage and develop a research culture within the field of osteopathy.
