Investigating Committee - Osteopath
Appointment of one osteopath Investigating Committee member
The General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) is looking for one new osteopath (registrant) member to join its Investigating Committee from 1 April 2017
We are looking for committed individuals with a demonstrable interest in osteopathy and healthcare regulation, who are able to work well in a team to reach fair and objective decisions.
We are keen to consider applicants who do not already sit on other regulators’ panels/committees.
The GOsC’s Investigating Committee considers all complaints against osteopaths received by the GOsC. Investigating panels make an initial determination about whether there is a ‘case to answer’ and that the matter should be referred to the Professional Conduct Committee. The Investigating Committee also has powers of interim suspension in relation to osteopaths.
The remuneration is £306 per day. Travel and subsistence expenses are also refundable.
How to apply
To apply you must complete and return both parts of the relevant application form below.
We are also recruiting for lay members and registrant members of the Professional Conduct Committee. If you are interested in both we encourage you to choose which of the two committees you wish to apply for.
For full details please download the Investigating Committee candidate information pack.
Please note that there are different forms for the two committees and for lay and registrant applicants.
